BOOTH
1852 - 1942

Eunice Ellenetta Booth (1852-1942) was born in Goshen, New Hampshire on March 20, 1852. Booth studied at the Massachusetts School of Art, New York School of Fine & Applied Art, Handicraft Guild of Minneapolis under Batchelder, Art Students League of New York City under William Merritt Chase, and Académies Julian and Delecluse in Paris. Most of her life was spent as a resident of California in Napa, San Francisco, and San Jose. She taught and was director of the art department at the College of the Pacific (Stockton) in the late 1930s. The last three years were spent in Dighton, MA where she died on November 12, 1942. Exhibited: Mechanics' Institute Fair (San Francisco), 1899; Oakland Art Gallery, 1928.
