Artist Biography

1877 - 1951

Anne Honsley Pierce was born in San Diego, California on October 28, 1877. She was one of San Diego's first native painters. She studied art from childhood and was a protégée of Cora Timken Burnett. Her work includes portraits, landscapes, and floral still lifes in watercolor, oil, pastel, and block printing. She died in San Diego on August 31, 1951.
