William Charles F. GILLAM
1867 - 1962

William Charles Frederick Gillam was born in Brighton, England on October 14, 1867. He worked in England and Vancouver, British Columbia before arriving in northern California in 1921. After settling in Burlingame, he was active in the San Francisco Bay area until the early 1940s. Gillam died in Sonoma County, California on February 10, 1962. Member: California Society of Etchers; Palo Alto Art Club; Berkeley League of Fine Arts. Exhibited: Oakland Art Gallery, 1928; California State Fair, 1930 (prize); California State Library, 1951. Works held: De Young Museum; St Paul's Episcopal Church (Burlingame); Provincial Normal School (Victoria, BC); Church of Latter Day Saints (Oakland); California State Library; David's Episcopal Church (Pittsburgh, CA).
