1887 - 1971
Helen Hawley Narozny was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 29, 1887. She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago under Vanderpoel and taught art in the public schools of Illinois before settling in southern California in 1927. While a resident of Los Angeles in the 1930s, she was a pupil and painting partner of Elsie Palmer Payne. Her last years were spent in San Mateo, California; she died in nearby Hayward on July 30, 1971. Member: Women Painters of the West. Exhibited: Sierra Madre Arts Guild, 1948.
